You all know that a good DJ/Emcee can really make a difference in the flow and energy of a wedding reception. Ashley and Ryan’s DJ, DJ TOD did a great job of keeping activity flowing throughout dinner, dancing, and through to their final exit. It isn’t often that live entertainment is provided by the GUESTS at a wedding, but in this case, each table was asked to perform a song for the couple, each with the word “love” in it. I couldn’t wait to see what each table would do.

Remember those Night at the Roxbury skits on SNL? “What is love? Baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me…”

The winner was determined by Ashley and Ryan with a big kiss.

Toasts were both heartfelt and humorous.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a tear in my eye during Ashley’s father’s toast.

Oh, let me show you a few more details. First, I love these coasters.

And their favors were so sweet. Cork key chains. And cake pops. Yes, please.

LOVE this travel-themed wish tree. Guests could take a luggage tag, offer a wish for the couple, and hang it from the tree.

The great thing about this reception is how involved all the guests were in the fun! Most of the reception had almost everyone on the dance floor, and often with a prop. Or – chairs!

And then Ashley’s dance with her father! It started out sweet…

And then turned in to a choreographed dance adventure! They took us on a trip to the YMCA and Saturday Night Fever, among others. How cute are they?

And the dance ended with another sweet father/daughter moment.

As for the rest of the evening, these people had FUN with a capital F.U.N.

Love this sequence. Jump!

And I adore this moment. Ashley and Ryan sharing a sweet kiss while the guys put on a show.

They exited through sparklers, of course taking a moment for a kiss.

Thank you, Ashley and Ryan, for allowing me to be  part of this wonderful day!

Oh, and I’m back with ONE MORE pic tomorrow!
