I love my job. But I always joke that my (other) dream job would be “dessert taste tester”. And I got the chance to do just that next week. All while taking photos, of course! So I guess my dream job is also Atlanta Food photographer (with tasting privileges).
I simply ADORE Tristen from Sift! because she makes the most wonderful treats. Every time I know she’ll be at an event I plan extra workouts to make up for the irresistible goodness, although she figures out ways to make desserts lighter, sometimes with no added sugar at all.
Look, it’s my official taste tester tag. This makes me so happy.
First on the list: This Lemon Meringue Cheesecake. Now, I’m not fond of meringue in general. In fact I try to avoid it. But this meringue is light and creamy, almost like whipped creme. Didn’t know it was possible. Utterly irresistible.
Next up: Chopped Chocolate Cookie Dough Cheesecake. Yep, that’s cookie dough. I know you want some.
And this gorgeous thing is the Key Largo. Key lime poppyseed cake with vanilla cream/strawberry filling. With FRESH strawberries. I swoon.
And this! An unconventional pie, with a creamy sweet corn filling, fresh blueberries, and a graham cracker crust. I know, it sounds odd, but I found myself totally in love with it. My favorite desserts are always things that you wouldn’t expect to go together, but some free-thinker figures out how to make it work. I actually found myself longing for more the next day.
