If y’all know me at all, you know that one of my favorite things in life is dessert. Cakes, pies, ice cream, flan, cookies … I’m a fan of them all. But wedding cakes are even more special because not only can they be delicious, but they can be works of art as well. So today I’m starting by showing you the utter gorgeousness of this cake on display at the Weddings Unveiled Summer Soiree, made by For Goodness Cakes.
That’s pretty all by itself, but check out these details! First, the bling! And don’t you love these fabric-style poufs?
But here’s the part that STILL makes me say WOW. These ruffles, each hand painted with silver trim. IN. SANE.
And it’s not all about the looks, either. I don’t know how it’s possible, but these are yummy as well, and there were several flavors ready for sampling.
But you know what? Believe it or not, there’s more to a party like this than the gorgeous details and food. Lots of people from the industry showed up to celebrate the Weddings Unveiled summer issue. A good time was had by all!
As a photographer, I’d like to think I’ve mastered the art of dancing while shooting, which is a subtle little dance I can do as I scope out my next shot. I did lots of that this evening. Good tunes courtesy of One Sound and Entertainment.
