One of my favorite things to do is sessions that reflect your real life. Not sitting and smiling for the camera, but capturing the day to day activities that make your life what it is… going to your favorite restaurant, gardening, walking, or whatever. For a lot of families, bath time is a real treasure, so I was so very excited when I was invited to do a session documenting bath time for these two cousins as a gift to their grandmother. So much fun!
We started out just getting the boys ready for bath time.
Now, for one of the boys, all this seemed like a really fun idea.
The other, not so convinced.
A bottle helped a little, but he remained unconvinced.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the tub…
He finally started to slowly check things out. But he would NOT sit down.
“Hey, you want this toy?”
“Uh, you ain’t getting MY toy. I KNEW you were up to something.”
Cutest. Face. Ever.
And then, before we knew it, it was time to get out of the tub.
Once he was out of the tub, he charged around on the bed walking and talking, like he HAD to get his story heard. We got an earful. NO idea what he said, but he was so animated!
And then it’s possible we had a little too much fun with the powder.
Rub it in!!
What a fun experience for everyone! Next time you do a portrait, think of your favorite parts of everyday life, and let’s capture THAT. These are the times you’ll want to look back on and remember.
