Wow, it looks like SNOW in Atlanta today. Not even a couple flurries, but actual sticking-on-the-ground, schools-closed, bread-aisle-EMPTY snow. The kind of snow that causes every northern state to laugh and shake their heads at the fact that Georgia can be shut down by an inch of snow. Sorry, y’all, Georgia is CLOSED.
Anyway, what better way to celebrate a snowy day than with a bright, cheerful wedding full of sweet moments? You may have already seen some highlights of this wedding on The Knot, but I’m back today to show you even more of the fabulous details and wonderful people.
They got ready at The W Midtown, and hair and makeup was done by the inimitable Scoobie West. I love how they worked together to make sure we stayed on schedule.
I think one of the most important things about a wedding day is for people to stay connected with the moment. Not to worry about what may or may not go wrong, not to obsess about small details, but to make sure you’re taking in the moments and really EXPERIENCING the day, and FEELING. When you do, you experience moments like this, when Aundrea was getting dressed and both she and her mother had overwhelming “this is REAL” feelings. These are beautiful moments.
Meanwhile, back at West Hunter Baptist Church, the guys were getting ready. Don’t you love these cufflinks?
I am a HUGE fan of the florals at this wedding. So vibrant, so cheerful. From Unique Floral Expressions.
We were able to do some quick portraits with the ladies at the W. One of my favorite spots.
Next time: I’ll be back with images from the emotional, sweet ceremony that will positively melt the snow.
