Sarah and Alex’s wedding was featured last month on The Knot, and now I’m back to show your even more details!
Sarah said that their goal when planning the wedding was that they just wanted it to be casual, playful and fun, and I think you can see that in every single part of the day. They got married at Grace United Methodist Church, which is so quaint and pretty.
I loved the moments as they were getting ready. They had some stressful moments right before arriving, including traffic troubles, but once the arrived, watching the interaction between Sarah and her mother were so sweet.
And then Sarah seeing herself in the mirror for the first time… so sweet!
The Groom, Alex, had fun before the ceremony hanging out with his twin brother/Best Man. I really love the more casual vest & bow tie. And the socks!
Meanwhile, Sarah had a quiet moment alone before the ceremony.
One of my favorite things about this church is the magic light that comes into the Narthex from the windows.
Their playful nature as a couple was evident from the very first moment they entered the sanctuary. When Sarah started walking, Alex came up the aisle to meet her half way, and their mirthful greeting put smiles on everyone’s faces. The ceremony itself was cheerful and upbeat from beginning to end!
After the ceremony we stepped outside for some portraits.
And then we took a little walk. The church is on Ponce De Leon Ave in Atlanta, and right across the street is an adorable antique shop called The Fainting Couch. They welcomed us there to do a few photos, and we had so much fun!
And there’s so much more … tomorrow I’ll be back to show you their super fun, beer and Star Wars filled celebration at Sweetwater Brewery!
