I had to take a little involuntary break from blogging (thanks Comcast internet!) but I’m finally back with tons of fun from Ashley + Adam’s reception at Roswell Historic Cottage.
Let’s start with the decor. The best way to soften a space like this with lots of exposed brick is with these soft florals. It gives everything a rustic but modern look, and I have to say these blooms are perfect.
This is so simply beautiful… just a single sprig of rosemary on the lavender napkin at each guests setting.
And that gorgeous chuppah from the ceremony became the perfect setting for Ashley and Adam’s sweetheart table. And you know I’m such a sucker for a sparkly linen.
I love the wintery setting, from the pinecones at the escort card table, to the sweet (pun intended) honey favors, and little touches like the family photos on the mantel made everything feel so warm and homey.
I love humor at a wedding. So when Ashley and Adam made their entrance, and did their first dance (which was, by the way, pretty awesome), I thought it was so funny to see a bunch of the guests scoring their performance.
The toasts were the kind that I remember always. Seeing people getting moved to tears in tribute to a couple is the stuff that makes my heart skip a little beat.
Oh, and the cake was so pretty, too!
And from there, fun was the word. Tons of dancing, laughter, hugs. A real celebration!
