Happy 3rd of July, everyone! I love this time of year, when you can just feel the vacation vibe in the air. As you start packing up your picnic supplies and blankets for fireworks-watching, take a break to look at Christina and Ryan’s reception at The Carl House.
Remember those cool lanterns at the ceremony? They became part of the table decor, accented by florals from Georgia Blooms. Love the tall centerpieces, too.
Their first dance was so sweet, and I love the view of The Carl House with that great staircase in the background.
The room was set up in a cool way too, with a big estate table in the middle for the wedding party.
Awww. Father-daughter dance.
This cake by Cecilia Villaveces Cakes is so cute.
And the groom’s cake…
The bride and groom were whisked away for their own private dinner. Nice way for them to spend a few moments just enjoying each other’s company in the midst of so much activity.
The toasts were great too. I really just love days like this surrounded by caring people who love each other. And by the way, they were funny, too.
And then the dancing started, and DID NOT STOP. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end.
And WHY was the dance floor packed? Well, two reasons. 1) These people are awesome and had tons of fun. and 2) The GLOW Band. Y’all, this is serious now. I see a lot of bands, and they rock with a capital R.O.C.K. Their rendition of Devil Went Down to Georgia is still in my head, reallyseriouslynokidding.
The bouquet toss and garter toss were extra fun at this wedding too.
Check this out. Garter on a FOOTBALL. Genius. Because sometimes guys might not try to go after the garter, but guys CANNOT just ignore a football.
The diving catch was made and followed by the traditional spike.
More dancing? Yes please! Thanks, GLOW Band.
While this gang could have played and danced until dawn, they did make their exit through sparklers. Thanks, Christina and Ryan for a wonderful day!
