I’m responsible for this cool weather we’re having. Last weekend was so nice, with highs of around 70, and I said to myself: a) This is AWESOME! and b) WAIT! I’ve got a bunch of cold-weather stuff I want to post before it gets warm and everyone just wants to think about spring!
I know what you’re thinking. First, does she really say a) and b) when she talks to herself? (yes, yes I do.) And also, if she has the power to control the weather, can she make it nice on my wedding day? Well, I might not be able to control the weather, but I CAN sneak in some of my favorite cool-weather sessions and weddings before it turns to summer in Atlanta.
Today I’m showing you Dawn and Jerroll’s joyful wedding at Country Club of the South. This wedding took place in October on a day not unlike today, a little cool and windy outside… but honestly, this is one of the warmest group of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with, so we could have been in Iceland and it would still be warm.
I’m starting with Dawn’s fabulous shoes.
I’ve always loved this fireplace, so having the ceremony in front of it on a cold, blustery day was just perfection.
But like I said, if I was going to find one word to describe Dawn and Jerroll, it would be WARM. And fun. Can I have two words?
Ooh, I love this brooch on the bouquet.
I posted once before about this group was so free with their laughter, but I can’t hit that point enough. During the toasts, there were so many great moments. These people are FUNNY.
Here’s another cool detail. Love the wish tree, where guests can write wishes on cards and then hang them on the tree.
This group also had a lot of fun dancing. Thanks to one of my favorite DJs, DJ Dre 1800.
And then they did a money dance, where everyone gave money to dance with the bride or groom. And of course, they did it in their own adorable way. I just love Dawn’s look at the end!
I am so grateful to have been a part of this day, and to have been able to spend time with such warm, wonderful, light-hearted people. My job ROCKS.
