I feel like this blog should begin with a pharmaceutical-ad style disclaimer: Side effects of this blog entry may include swooning, raising of the bar, and arguments between couples of the “why can’t you do that for me?” variety. Because Marc Harrigan threw his wife Akima one of the most stylish, gorgeous birthday parties I’ve ever seen, all while managing to keep the entire thing a SURPRISE. You may have seen some select images from this party already, since it was featured here on Occasions Online. (And yes, this party was a while ago, but I had to wait for publication to show it to you)
I’m going to start with these amazeballs invitations by Papered Wonders.
The whole thing went down at the thoroughly awesome rooftop of the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown, and the gorgeous modern florals were done by Eventscapes. The florals are so vibrant, so modern, so … well… awesome.
Guests were greeted with this lovely sign, featuring the custom logo for the party, and the logo and colors were carried through to the water bottles, napkins, and menu cards.
The menu of drinks and food were Caribbean inspired, and by the way, gorgeous.
The guest of honor arrived right on time, and I love her tearful reaction when she saw all the family and friends that had gathered for her, many of whom came in from out of town.
Sorry guys, the bar has forever been raised.
