Yesterday this Urban Chic styled shoot was featured on The Knot! But there is SO much more to show you from the shoot, which featured some of Atlanta’s most amazing wedding vendors.
Some of what I love the most about this Urban Chic look how they brought together elements that usually contrast in such a cohesive way. Gold + Silver? Circles + squares? Red + purple? It’s a great lesson in breaking the rules, all while somehow maintaining a very elegant and simple look.
Let me start with the color elements in the table. Look at how beautifully silver and gold can go together. And that splash of red is perfect.
And while I’m at it, I have to mention how good design also takes into account the setting. In this case, these bold + simple lines are a perfect play against the Atlanta cityscape view from Ventanas.
And I also love the play of the squares against circles and other linear graphic elements. This is a great way to prove that a great designer can bring together contrasting elements in a way that makes you see they BELONG together. (Just like a lot of couples!)
Can I talk for a minute about this stationery set by Hi Note? I’m full on in love with the textures and colors. And the bold ribbon gave it a 3D effect. Just perfection.
And that brings me to the drinks. A great mixologist like Lyght House Cocktails has this incredible way of creating a signature drink that fits the color and theme of an event. I mean, come on, a 50 Shades of Grey themed drink? Hello, Sexy.
