Today is Alexandra and Tom’s anniversary! And since I haven’t shown you the delight that is this gorgeous Callanwolde wedding yet, today is the day! Get your pinning finger ready, because this wedding is so utterly packed with creative, artsy details, you’re going to want to save, save, save!
The wedding was at Callanwolde, which looks like it’s been plucked right out of a fairy tale.
I have to say, Alexandra (Alex) was absolutely GLOWING.
And I have to say, this is one of my favorite things. All the bridesmaids had different flowers in their bouquets, and each bouquet featured their initial in crystals. So beautiful and personal. The whole look is so fashionable, modern, and still cohesive. I love this look! These gorgeous florals came from Chelsea Floral.
The bouquets were so gorgeous! These bright colors and delicate orchids are just amazing.
Oh, let’s not forget the guys!
This was probably my favorite moment of the day. A prayer with the entire wedding party before they headed down the aisle.
And I tell you, everything this couple does is beautiful. Tom’s vows were presented so beautifully!
And speaking of the aisle, this custom aisle runner was just gorgeous. Add that to the bold blue chair wraps, the petal and candle lined aisle, and the pillars, and it was just such a romantic setting.
It was a magical moment when Alex and Tom locked eyes as she came down the aisle.
This is such an amazing idea: Alex and Tom had a local artist, Nancy Shippen, do a LIVE painting of the wedding ceremony, which was on display for the reception.
Alex and Tom are the sweetest couple, and I remember what a spectacular day this was for a wedding. It was the perfect temperature, and so beautiful outside. And the two of them were just radiant.
At the cocktail hour, there were fantastic details all around. I love how they highlighted their families with photos.
And how’s this for functional, personal, and fun? Their escort cards were wrapped around a personal-sized bottle of their favorite wine, along with a description of why this wine is important to them as a couple and the role it has played in their life together. I love this because it’s a favor, and also I’d want to keep mine as a reminder of them! (oh, and for the kids, this was around a bottle of Coke instead of wine. )
And also during the cocktail hour? A live caricature artist for guests!
Even the cocktails were special! The bar featured drinks that were both delicious and color coordinated!
And the ceremony decor was so bold and modern! These pops of blue are great.
And oh, how I love beautiful linens.
And of course the cake was presented beautifully too.
Once they made their way in to the reception, there was so much fun, so much emotion.
And then Alex changed into a stunning second gown! Perfect for dancing.
With all these cool and creative details I know you’re dying to know the vendors!
